PL Residence

The PL Residence stands as a captivating remodeling proposal for an existing residence, located in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The existing structure boasts remarkable charm and is laced with distinctive features that set it apart from neighboring houses.

Intending to transport a 1970's residence into the 21st century, our design proposal was aimed at uncovering the timeless beauty of the original architecture and enhancing it with minimal impact and surgical precision. The design process, thus began with a deliberate focus on subtraction rather than addition, as we strived to strip away layers that had accumulated over the years to reveal the authentic character of the original architecture.

Beyond the outer shell, our proposal considers the addition of a living space, an outdoor terrace and a swimming pool; components that helped establish both visual and spatial connections between the exterior and interior spaces, where natural light becomes the protagonist.
